Client faced the connection error while trying to connect to the Hyper-V Host server in Hyper-V manager.

He claimed that everything was working fine in the Hyper-V Manager in the morning, but then when he tried to re-connect to the server, he received the below error message, despite several attempts.

“An error occurred while attempting to connect to server “xxxxxxx”. Check that the Virtual Machine Management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the server.

Solution: Launch the services.msc, look for the service called “RPC Locator”, and if the service status appears to be “Stopped” as illustrated below, simply restart the service, and the relaunch the Hyper-V manager, and retry connection.
